Coteau Rouemont

1105, Petite Caroline Rougemont, QC, J0L 1M0

The Coteau Rougemont vineyard is a magnificent estate located on the Rougemont mountainside.  The mountain is part of the Monteregian Hills in southern Quebec. Thanks to its rich soil and a microclimate generated by its exceptional exposure and its protection against the winds due to the surrounding woodlands and orchards, the site is particularly conducive to the cultivation of vines and fruits such as apples and pears.

In 2006, Claude Robert, a businessman from Rougemont, acquired the premises. The Robert family takes over from this immense orchard with more than 40,000 apple trees.

In their first year, 3,500 vines of the Frontenac Gris grape variety take root in particularly welcoming soil. The vineyard is located on hillsides offering exceptional exposure, surrounded by wooded areas and orchards which protect them from the winds and offer them a microclimate conducive to their yield.

In spring 2008, the plantation expanded with 4,500 Pinot Gris and Chardonnay grape varieties. In 2009, the Frontenac Blanc, Crescent, Saint-Pépin and Vidal grape varieties were added. Today, the vineyard has nearly 50,000 plants.

Besides grape wines they produce numerous types of cider. They have wn awards for their grape wines, icewines and ciders.

Coteau Rougemont offers a reception hall that can accommodate up to 70 guests as well as a marquee that can accommodate up to 130 guests, both adjacent to our magnificent terrace which overlooks a valley of apple trees and vineyards.

You can also stay at the winery. The Auberge du Coteau can accommodate up to eight guests.
