Little Straw Vineyards

In 2022 Kalala Organic Estate Winery, a family-owned winery which has produced organic grapes and wines since 2006, announced it has acquired Little Straw Vineyards. Kalala Organic Vineyards is owned by Narinder & Karnail Sidhu.

Originally established as Slamka Cellars in 1996, Little Straw Vineyards have been producing award-winning wines out of their Ourtoland Road winery in West Kelowna for more than 25 years.

The family decided it was time to retire, and found a compatible buyer in Kalala Organic Estate Winery.  The former winemaker, Peter Slamka, is known for his exceptional Pinot Noirs and for producing the only Auxerrois Icewine in Canada.

The Little Straw Vineyard in West Kelowna is on the lower slopes of Mt Boucherie with an incredible view of the Lake Okanagan. The 12-acre vineyard contains around 13 different varietals. The dominant grapes are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Marechal Foch and Auxerrois.
