Nanaimo

Not sure if they are still operating

The Nanaimo based Noble Beast Wines is a virtual winery. The winery/brand is owned by Julian and Lisa Bakker, a young couple who were drawn to wine during a 2003 honeymoon in the Okanagan. The wines are made by Mark Simpson at BC Wine Studios in Okanagan Falls

The couple are dedicated island residents. Their ambition, once Noble Beast is established, is to buy a small farm somewhere on Vancouver Island and plant a vineyard.

The dog on the label represents one aspect of the Noble Beast (and Julian and Lisa's favourite Boston Terrier, Basil).
