A small and charming winery located with in minutes of the border. Their reputation for producing good wines -big! The name reflects the owners names Stephen Wyse former winemaker at Burrowing Owl Winery and his partner Michelle Young.
Young and Wyse was our first stop on this years trip. We were fortunate to have Michelle guide us through our tasting experience and it was most enjoyable.
We tasted nine very good wines . Starting with a 2011 Amber named for their daughter A very nice blend of Viognier and Gewürztraminer. Barbara liked this wine.Nnext was the 2013 Gewürztraminer which tickled my taste buds. We also like the 2013 Viognier, 2012 Merlot, 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon . Comparing vintages is always fun. Barbara preferred 2012 and I the 2011.
Thanks for carrying the wines to our car Michelle.
