Throughout Canada wineries seem to feel there is a need to join together and form various organizations and or associations.

Some of the associations are:

British Columbia

BC Grape Growers -


Wine Island Vintners Association

A marketing association open to all licensed wineries, meaderies and cideries on Vancouver Island and surrounding islands of British Columbia

Naramata Bench Association

The Naramata Bench runs along the east side of Lake Okanagan immediately north of Penticton. There are over 20 wineries here

Association of British Columbia Winegrowers
Called the Hidden Wineries of BC. Most of a members are small, family owned and operate wineries with their own vineyards surrounding them, all truly committed to making premium wine from 100% BC fruit

Fraser Valley Wineries Association
The 12 wineries of the Fraser Valley Wineries Association are located just outside of Vancouver

South Okanagan Winery Association
Currently undergoing a name change.  Represents wineries in the southern desert region of the Okanagan Valley of BC website

Southwestern Ontario Vintners Association

A collection of eleven wineries in the Lake Erie North Shore/Pelee Island region of Essex County. The area offers a "unique maritime climate" ideal for luscious vineyards

Ontario Grape Growers Association

Grape Growers of Ontario is the official organization that represents over 500 grape growers of 17,000 acres of vineyards in Ontario, Canada who produce grapes for processing.

Grape Growers of Ontario provides a variety of benefits and services to our members. We serve as the voice of our membership and an information resource for our growers, the general public, media, and our winery partners on viticulture and the relevant grape and wine issues affecting our industry.

Grape Growers of Ontario negotiates prices for all grapes sold to processors. While growers contract their grape sales directly with processors, prices must be no less than the minimum set through negotiations between the Grape Growers of Ontario and Ontario's grape processors.

Ontario Wine Society

The Ontario Wine Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 that celebrates the exploration of Ontario wines, through informal, enjoyable and educational tastings and special events. Currently, there are six chapters:Toronto, Niagara, Halton, Prince Edward County, London and Windsor/Essex.

Ontario South Coast Wineries & Growers Assoc.

a new emerging wine region in Ontario, along the shores of Lake Erie, will bridge the gap between the Niagara Region and the Lake Erie North Shore Region.

Represents the entire Province

Agri-Futures Nova Scotia

Agri-Futures Nova Scotia (AFNS) is a non-profit Association registered in Nova Scotia. Its membership is the Council of Leaders of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture. Ten Directors are appointed by the membership to conduct the business of the Association. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada provides a liaison officer to assist the Council and the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture appoints an ex officio member to the Board. website
