With more than fifty years experience in the wine industry between them, Allan Jackson and Don Triggs established Jackson-Triggs Vintners in the Fall of 1993. By the spring of 1995, they were proud to introduce their Proprietors' Selection Merlot, and in September, their Proprietors' Selection Sauvignon Blanc. The Sauvignon Blanc was so exceptional that it prompted one wine reviewer to write, “I tried calling Ripley's Believe it or Not, for here was a Canadian-made wine that knocked the socks off the imported Sauvignon Blancs.” (Michael Vaughan, Vintage Assessments, October 1995.) The Proprietors' Selection Sauvignon Blanc is still one of Jackson-Triggs' most popular table wines in restaurants and homes from coast to coast.
