Tasting Notes:

Bright plum and oak spice are enhanced by

rich, complex chocolate aromas. A rich,

balanced palate follows with soft, supple

tannins on the finish. This wine pairs

perfectly with roasted lamb sirloin and

caremelized onions. Or, savour its versatility

at your next backyard bbq.

Winemakers Notes:

A blend of 100% Okanagan Estate grown

grapes from both the 2006 and 2007

vintages, the Allison Ranch Red is

comprised of four varietals. The dominant

grape is Pinot Noir, which accounts for 50%

of the blend. This lends a soft richness to

the palate. Both Cabernet Sauvignon (30%)

and Merlot (15%) add structure and tannin.

Marechal Foch (5%) completes this wine.

Prior to blending, the wine was aged in both

French and American oak barrels.
