40 Knots Estate Winery was established in 2005 on 24 lush coastal acres in the heart of the Comox Valley. The winery was purchased by Brenda Hetman-Craig and Layne Craig in July 2014

Cedar Creek

The story of CedarCreek begins with the vision of Senator Ross Fitzpatrick. He developed one of the best wineries in the Okanagan starting in 1986.

  In February 2014, the Fitzpatrick family announced the transfer of ownership of CedarCreek to the von Mandl family.

The Von Mandl made Cedar Creek a true destination winery. Their restaurant Home Block Restaurant nominated as one of Canada's best !

Ripples Estate Winery

Unique in many ways. This family run winery is located in the beautiful farming region just east of Abbotsford. It also operates a a nursery for water plants, nestled amongst the secret gardens of Woodbridge Ponds.

The winery is a family operated business along with the help and support from friends. Paul and Caroline Mostertman are the owner with help from their daughter.

They specializing in Blueberry Wine but make some very good grape wines too.

They have recently added distilled spirits.

Another Fraser Valley Gem! Just the location alone is worth the visit. But upon arrival you say to yourself this is how a winery should look.

One enters the winery through an iron gate then along the driveway next to vineyards and horse pastures, towards the chapel style tasting room. Where friendly warm hospitality awaits you along with good wines.

Your host and co-owner Allison Zimmerman puts together a very nice cheese tray, featuring cheeses from a neighbouring farm to go along with the tastings.

The new barrel room is impressive.

If you would like to learn about organic farm practices in the wine industry Summerhill is the place to go.

There’s much to do at the winery, from dining at The Sunset Bistro (where, obviously, all the ingredients are organic) to taking self-guided tours to the pyramid, biodynamic vineyards and Canada’s only Exhibit of First Contact — the Mallam house and the Makwala Kekuli.

Sea Star Estate Farm and Vineyard

Located on Pender Island. one of the Southern Gulf Islands located in the Gulf of Georgia, British Columbia.

The dramatic Winery building designed by Walter Francl is a great venue, as is the adjacent garden patio and spacious lawn, both of which are licensed picnic areas.

The vineyard views are amazing. Numerous events are held at the winery and wines always sell out!


Fort Berens Estate Winery Ltd

One of the most beautiful locations possible Fort Berens Estate Winery Ltd is located in Lillooet.

Lillooet is located on the Fraser River, 325 km north of Vancouver. The community is one of the oldest in the province, it was a supply point for miners heading to the Caribou gold fields when the gold rush began in 1858.

The winery is open all year and is worth the drive. If you visit from May through October, leave enough time to enjoy a delicious locally-sourced wine-paired meal on their patio overlooking the vineyard.

The small family winery owned by Gerry and Sue Thygesen has one amazing view. They sit on a hill overlooking Skaha Lake and the vineyards.

It is a fun winery to visit with excellent wines.


Arrowleaf Cellars

Arrowleaf Cellars is a family owned and operated winery located in beautiful Lake Country, BC.

The well designed buildings are very attractive. The tasting room was designed by award-winning architect Robert Mackenzie, opened in 2014. The seasonal kitchen specialize in French-style pastries, primarily cream puffs along with made-to-order Charcuterie, cheese or vegan boards.

They have a very nice patio and picnic area to enjoy the view of the lake.

 


Rust Wines

You can never go wrong visiting any of the wineries on Olivers Golden Mile. You must visit Rust Wines.

Its new yet its old. Visit and find out what I mean!

Visitors to Rust will enjoy one of the most breathtaking views in the valley overlooking the Black Sage Bench to the east and Osoyoos to the south, as well as the rolling hills behind the winery that bathe in the Okanagan light.


Nighthawk Vineyards

Nighthawk is quickly becoming one of the more popular wineries in the Okanagan. The winery over looks Green Lake in Okanagan Falls.

The name is a tribute to the Nighthawks that soar over the vineyard, these amazing birds return each spring to make this scenic valley their home and nest during the growing season.

It is located near the Grasslands Protected Area.

Hainle Vineyards

Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery became BC’s 8th estate winery in 1972, is the birthplace of North American Icewine and became Canada’s first certified organic winery in 1988.

Founded by Walter Hainle, Hainle vineyards started in 1972 and was family owned until 2001 when the Huber family bought the winery. The Huber family traces their family winemaking back to 1167 where they started growing grapes for King Henry the Lion.

The winery claims many "1st" in the wine and even claims to 1st Canadian Winery who was served at the 80th Anniversary Oscar Awards.

Their history alone is worth the visit. Excellent wines!


Vibrant Vine

A growing concern in the Okanagan is Vibrant Vine. They are at the very top of Trip Advisors list of Okanagan wineries to visit.

The wineries objective is to be a destination to visit more than just a winery. They claim to draw visitors through outstanding hospitality.

Upon entering the winery through the Chardonnay vines you will be greeted by the Guest Host. Who will help you plan your visit.

The tasting room is in a 1937 heritage home.


Tinhorn Creek

Located on the Golden Mile Bench in Oliver. One of the giants of the Okanagan wine industry.

Drop by for the wines, enjoy the view of the valley and relax.

The Miradoro restaurants is among the very best.

The winery was among the first to introduce a summer concert series.

Hikers will enjoy the many trails that start from the property.


Upper Bench Estate Winery

The Upper Bench Winery and Creamy is located at the gateway to the Naramata Bench. Upper Bench produces big bold reds and crisp, dry whites that reflect the vintage and soil from the vineyards where they are grown. The co-owner /winemaker is Gavin Miller. Gavin’s wife, head cheese-maker Shana Miller and her team hand-craft gluten and additive free soft & semi soft cheese. Your stop at Upper Bench could have you watching cheese makers making cheese through the creamery window and enjoying a wine flight, perfectly paired with a cheese platter on their intimate patio.

This year they opened a wine bar called the Oven featuring a pizza oven and various food items.


Blue Grouse Estate Winery

Blue Grouse Estate is comprised of 65 acres tucked away on a sunny Vancouver Island slope in the Cowichan Valley, on Vancouver Island.

When one leaves Blue Grouse they the remember great hospitality, fine wines and a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy Natural British Columbia.

The architecture of the tasting room and winery reflects the body shape of the Blue Grouse. You must see it to believe it.

The Rosewood story begins over 80 years ago when R.W. Roman’s passion for beekeeping and mead began as a teenager in Ukraine. After arriving in Canada, he continued keeping bees alongside his son, Eugene Roman, who quickly fell in love with the craft. Years later, during Eugene & Renata’s honeymoon to Niagara-on-the-Lake, the two fell in love with the region for its natural beauty, people and wines.

Redstone Winery

Wow what can you say about this remarkable winery. Named 2017 winery of the years. Winner of more rewards they we have space to mention. The 38-acre Lincoln Lakeshore property was purchased in 2009 by Moray Tawse and is home to a newly opened hospitality centre and a locally-inspired restaurant.

Paul Pender is the director of Viticulture and Winemaking. Rene Van Ede is the winemaker

Tawse Estate Winery

Tawse is a family-owned estate winery situated on the lower slopes of the Niagara Escarpment. Tawse was named 'Canadian Winery of the Year' by Canadian Wine Access Magazine in 2010, 2011 and 2012..

The state-of-the-art winery opened in 2005,, complete with a six-level, gravity-flow design, geo-thermal system and a wetland bio-filter.

They have a very attractive tasting room and gardens. I platinum and 4 gold at the all Canadians in 2019

It's incredible designed faculties alone makes it worth the visit but so are the wines.


Megalomaniac

A beautiful winery!  Perched on the highest point of the southern section of the Niagara Escarpment, with incredible panoramic views of Lake Ontario, and the skylines of Toronto and Niagara Falls.

Megalomaniac's facility includes two private event rooms, an expansive tasting room, and outdoor patio space on the first and second floor. They are able to host dinners for up to 96 people, or receptions for up to 120 people

Owned and operated by John Howard, Megalomaniac began as a retirement project to help raise funds for the Kids’ Health Links Foundation.

The magnificence of the barrel room is overwhelming.

Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery

It is impossible to leave out Ravine Vineyards located in St Davids. A winery, a restaurant and grocery store.

The farm here has been part of Norma Jean Harber’s family since 1867. Now she and her husband Blair, alongside winemaker Martin Werner, produce premium small-batch organic Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlots. 

The Canning House showcases the Niagara gastronomy and crafts.



Colaneri Estate Winery

Visiting Truis is a true experience. Each year the winery seems to add another special touch.

The winery has a rich history. The Truis was among the first to produce an Icewine in Ontario 1983

The wines have always been excellent.

The owner of the winery is Catherine Langlois. Catherine studied winemaking in Burgundy. She worked briefly for an Ontario winery before seeking her own property in 1999.

You can enjoy your tasting outdoors in the beautiful outdoor gazebo tasting bar overlooking the vineyard. 

The winery is home to resident artist Rita Thivierge contemporary art gallery.

Oxley Estate

Located in the historic hamlet of Oxley on the Lake Erie North Shore. The winery is owned by Ann Neydon Wilson and Murray Wilson. They purchased the land (then a vegetable farm) called Oak Bluff in 2010.

There is a restaurant with limited hours

The property has some very nice gardens and a cozy patio with outdoor fireplace.

The tasting room is located in a 1920 barn.

Numerous events held through out the year.

Summer Concert Series staged in the open-air amphitheatre is presented from June through September.


Henry of Pelham

The historical winery Henry of Pelham. The winery sits on the land granted to the Great-great-great grandpa Nicholas Smith, in 1794.

Henry, Nicholas’ youngest son, builds an inn, tavern and carriage house on the property. He signs the tavern’s liquor license “Henry of Pelham” as a joking reference to a past British prime minister, Sir Henry Pelham. The name sticks. He plants some of Canada’s first vineyards.

The history alone makes the winery well worth visiting. Today you find modern wine making techniques, picnic tables a cafe and beautiful vineyards. There is also family cemetery and Canada’s largest underground barrel cellar. 


Karlo Estate Winery

Karlo Estate rustic winery is one of the most unique wineries in the region. The first vegan-certified winery in North America. The winery features one of North America’s largest dry stone bridges you can cross over the bridge as walk through the vineyards with a glass of wine in your hand.

Their food service has some delightful vegan selections.

Just a short drive from Toronto one can find the very attractive Angels Gate Estate Winery. The winery first opened in 2002 and has been very successful.

 The “mission” style building was designed to commemorate the Congregation of Christian Sisters who once owned the property. Look for the distinct gables and the tower - elements typical in a mission-style building.

You will also be impressed with the grounds.

The Terrace offers a Pizza and Flat bread menu.

Clos Saragnat is also a research center specializing in wine-growing and fruit wine. Winners of numerous awards, and winner of numerous gold medals and other distinctions , he has also designed "Chapelle Ste Agnès"

This is a story of a family that gave up its business and the busy city life and decided to move to the country, starting a winery.

The winery is owned by Nathalie Lane and Louis Denault

Vignoble la Bauge

Located on the south side of the Appalachian foothills of the eastern Township. Visors of all ages will enjoy seen the boars and other farm animals.

They sell delicious specialty foods derived from their own exotic livestock: boar liver protégé with oyster mushrooms and Calvados, red deer terrine with La Flambée wine and cranberries, and smoked yak sausage.



Vignoble Le Cep d'Argent

Brothers  François and Jean-Paul Scieur are the owners of this Eastern Township winery. The 114-acre, 60,000-vine vineyard provides an exceptional view of Lake Magog.

Since the fall of 1993, the Fête des Vendanges du vignoble Le Cep d’Argent has been known as La Fête des Vendanges Magog-Orford.  The Magog-Orford Grape Festival, as it’s called in English, was the first ever step towards celebrating the wine harvest in Quebec and it has now become a not-to-be-missed fixture in the yearly calendar.

Besides the sparkling wines which have made the vineyard a household name, the Cep d’Argent also offers a selection of red, white and rosé wines.

One of Quebec's Easter townships better wine producers. De la Riviere du Chêne is the largest wine estates in Quebec. Recipient of several awards for its well-known quality wines, regional winner of the Grand Prix du Tourisme 2010 and official supplier of the Quebec Pavilion at the Olympic Games in Vancouver. They produce icewine.

Wine tastings are free. Guided tours are fun and informative.



J.O. Montpetit et Fils winery

Their vineyard and winery is located in the small village of St-Étienne-de-Beauharnois, in Montérégie. It is established on their ancestral lands, along the small river St-Louis.

They have 25000 vines planted on 9 hectares

Domaine des Côtes d'Ardoise

The oldest operating winery in the province. It began in 1980 In 1980, Christian Barthomeuf travelled to Ontario with Mr. Jacques Breault (who still grows vines in Dunham) to search for cuttings and plants his first vine stock of De Chaunac, Seyval Blanc and Marechal Foch at the vineyard. This makes Domaine Des Cotes d’Ardoise, the oldest commercial still exploited vineyard in Quebec.

Domaine des Cotes d’Ardoise earned the first medal granted to a Québecois vineyard: the Seyval Carte d’Or 86 won the Gold Medal at Sélections Mondiales 1987 

The winery hosts an exhibition of sculptures gathered from more than 80 artists. Visitors can picnic or enjoy light meals on site. Flowered paths allow visitors to circulate where are arranged several monumental sculptures, Nature & Creation.

Located in the Lower Laurentians, the winery was found in 1989. Owned by Isabelle Gonthier and Daniel Lalande.

The winery is known for its beautiful vineyards. Describe by one visitor as his beautiful piece of paradise.

Won Gold for their William Blanc  2018 at the All Canadian Championships.

Lightfoot and Wolfville Vineyards was bestowed the honour of Winery of the Year from the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers 2017.

The winery opened its new hospitality center in 2017 a 50,000 square-foot facility with a stunning view of Cape Blomidon open.

Their patio menu features amazing Charcuterie and cheese boards to delicious pizzas. Main dishes include Baby Shrimp rolls and Grilled Pork Lion.

Several signature events are held at the winery throughout the year

Officially known as Blomidon Estate Winery at Habitant Vineyards. The winery is named after Blomidon Provincial Park which is located nearby.
