Nestled in the hillsides of Nova Scotia’s enchanting Gaspereau Valley Luckett Vineyards is home to Pete and Sue Luckett. The unique tidal airflow from the Bay of Fundy provides mild temperatures year round, preventing late frosts in the spring and early frosts in the fall. In addition to providing a generous micro-climate, the dramatic land formations allow spectacular vistas .

Lucie Kuhlman, Leon Millot, Castel, L’acadie, Precose and Marechal Foch are among the grapes grown in the vineyards. Osceloa Muscat, and Ortega good cold climate grapes are also grown.

Pete Luckett is a name synonymous with fine fare in Nova Scotia.  His culinary explorations began as a stall owner in Nottingham, England, and led him around the world before he chose to settle in the Maritime. Here he formed one of Atlantic Canada’s best known and loved brands: Pete’s Frootique. Inspired to build the Luckett Vineyard brand, Pete recently announced the sale of his grocery retail and wholesale business to Sobeys.

Mike Mainguy, Executive Winemaker has been with the winery since it opened in 2011. Their daughter Geena is following in her father’s footsteps at the winery. Having graduated from Dalhousie with a Bachelor of Management, and with hands-on experience working with wineries and wines shops here and abroad, she’s joined the Luckett team as the go-to-gal for the wildly popular winery events and tasting bar activities.

Crush Pad Bistro  offers seasonal dinning from May to October...

The winery also offers an elegant barrel room featuring custom décor by a local artist, ideal for hosting small corporate functions and private events.

Lucketts wines are not sold in BC so no tasting notes.
