Rosewood's founders, Eugene & Renata Roman, were early fans of Niagara wineries. As they sampled the region's offerings, they developed a curiosity, passion and respect for the locally-produced wines.
They began as beekeepers slowing moving into mead and finally grape wines. This all started in 2000 with the purchase of the land. Their first vintage was 2006.

Rosewood's inaugural vintage of Lock, Stock, & Barrel , is crafted to explore the application of new world innovation and old world techniques. This unique assemblage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and is a blend of 94% free-run and 6% press-run. On the nose dark fruit and intense aromas of cherries, plums, black currant, and dark chocolate. The palate erupts with robust fruit, while soothing acidity lingers on. Pair with venison, grilled steak and unique game meats. This elegant yet bold wine is a true cellar candidate. Decant for 1 to 2 hours or cellar until 2018.
The ICBO called 2011 Lock,Stock & Barrel a master piece.
