John Chang and Allison Lu, owners , invested $3.5 million in this grand 623-square-metre Spanish-style winery beside a well-travelled Richmond thoroughfare. It is on a six-hectare former nursery site. In 2007, they planted 2.4 hectares to a muscat grape variety that Chang believes will ripen in cool Richmond . He also buys grapes from the Okanagan and Similkameen valleys.

The winery excels in making Icewines and in hospitality.. It is a wonderful winery to visit.

 

They produce two wonderful Specialty wines. One a late Harvest Merlot. The other ICEDER! Iceder is a blend of Apple Cider and Icewine blended together to form a unique flavour that over whelms you with flavour.


It has 11% alcohol and a 15 sweetness..the apple taste seems to reduce the sweetness making a perfect dessert wine.
The cost is $31.95.

We also recommend the 2009 Shiraz, and the Pinot Noir... For whites try the Gewurtraminer its fruit flavour lingerers on your taste buds for an incredible finish
