Jackson Triggs Gold Series Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz-Viognier

Our Gold Series celebrates the best of Jackson Triggs, and expresses the artistry of winemakerwines), Brooke Blair (Okanagan Estate red wines),to create unsurpassed wines with the depth and diversity of their experience. The grapes for the 2008 Gold Series Jackson Triggs Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz-Viognier were harvested on October 26th at 23.8° Brix from the Bear Pine, Thorpe and Sun Rock Vineyards

he SunRock Single Vineyard in the Okanagan Valley near Oliver BC is part of Canada's only certified desert, and this unique micro-climate, along with the enormous "SunRock" in the middle of the vineyard, produces rich and robust red wines with expression of the vineyard. Featured wines are Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.

This is a unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 49%, Shiraz 48% and Viongier 3% that underwent full malolactic fermentation, and was aged in 50% French and 50% American oak barrels for 18 months.

Winemaker's Notes
The complex, well-balanced flavours of this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (49%), Shiraz (49%), and Viognier (3%) display aromas of dark red fruits, and spicy rich white and black pepper, with hints of blackcurrants
