The prestigious Hester Creek estate winery is located on the Okanagan's Golden Mile. The winery is home to some of British Columbia's oldest vines.
They have 85 avres of Vineyards producing wines for over forty years. At Hester Creek, we consider ourselves as winegrowers , because we firmly believe that superior wines can only begin in the vineyard. The sun, the soil, our gently sloped southwestern bench terrain and a unique microclimate are all factors in the growth of our magnificent grapes.
Author John Schreiner wrote: Since being taken over in 2004 by Prince George businessman Curt Garland, the winery has emerged from its turbulent history. It is now poised as a winery to be reckoned with for wines that are top quality but not over-priced, a sometimes elusive combination in the Okanagan.
One wine that definately stands out is their 2007 Reserved Cabernet Franc. A big bold red with flaovour featuring aromas of raspberry, blackberry and vanilla. Tastes of malt, plum, strawberry and anise abound in this complex and most delicious wine.
