The Best of 2011
It was La Frenz Liqueur Muscat Nv that captured our highest rating in 2011 with a score of 96. A very delicious port style wine providing amours with deep promises that are filled by the sweet layers Sensational flavours.
The wine is produced in a traditional solera system, meaning the average age of the blend is getting progressively older.
D'angelo Estate winery on he Naramata bench produced another sensation red blend; their 2006 Merlot Cabernet. An amazing just the perfect body, good aroma
flavors of ripe black fruit, plums, spice and caramel.
A score of 96 put them at the top along with La Frenz
Church and State Wines of Vancouver Island and the Okanagan produced a number of outstanding wines.

Unsworth located on Vancouver Island is dedicated to making wines that reflect the unique character and quality of the Cowichan Valley Winemaker Daniel Cosman made a sensational Pinot Gris.
The nose reveals a bouquet of pear, sweet lemons and notes of ripe stone fruit. On the palate, exotic lime peel is animated by lively acidity and elegant minerality, emanating a harmonious and bright mouthfeel.

In the last few years Tawse wines under the guidance of winemaker Paul Pender and consulting winemaker Pascal Marchand have established a reputation for producing outstanding wines. The Tawse 2007 David Block Merlot is one of these wines . Its rich full body produced a stratifying taste compliment by hints of black cherries. The nose is intense a nd inviting. A good lasting finish. Score 95 |
