Brentwood Bay
Church & State Wines, Brentwood Bay is Vancouver Islands largest winery, Brentwood Bay is about 25 minutes north of British Columbia;s capital Victoria. Church and State has two location, Brentwood Bay is the Original. A second location was opened in the Okanagan.
The name Church & State Wines is intended to be representative of balance – the heart and the mind, traditions and technology, and the cellar and the vineyard. Balance is one of the defining characteristics of making a fine wine, and we feel our name pays homage to that. In late 2017 Mr. Liao purchased both locations . He is a passionate wine lover and wonderful owner who allows his managers the freedom to lead with their own style.
Arnaud Thierry is the winemaker. Arnaud joined the team in late 2017. He was all but born into winemaking having spent much of his youth amidst the vines of Bordeaux. His interest in biology and biochemistry, as well as a desire to understand the art of viticulture, led him to study enology in Champagne for several years. This, coupled with a love of nature, cuisine, and diverse flavours brought to life by wine brought him deeper into the world of winemaking.
The winery uses only 100% estate grown grapes. The Brentwood Bay vineyard grows Pinot Gris, Muscat and Pinot Noir. All of their Sparkling wines are made at the Brentwood location.
Church and State has been awarded six Lieutenant Gov. Wine Awards for excellence in BC wines.
Church & State Wines is one of the most unique and picturesque wedding destinations on Vancouver Island. The main dining area can hold 200 guest, The patio 75 guests.
Church and State Fritzzante Muscat
One of the best Sparkling wines I have ever enjoyed. The grapes are grown on Vancouver Island near Victoria and Black Sage Bench. Good aromas of tropical fruit. The acidity is light making for a smooth wine from start to finish. 95

A very fine soft patio wine. Featuring a nice golden colour. Starting with the aromas of fresh apricot, dried orange peel, and honeycomb, finishing with happy floral notes .
