When something is good and provides a happy and lasting memory you return. So we made our way to Chaberton Estate winery and the Bacchus Bistro for lunch. For me I knew I was going to have two things the French Onion soup and a glass of Bacchus wine.

When my wife decided she was going to order the Bacchus I made a quick decision and switched to the new release 2014 Reserve Riesling. I was glad that I did! The wine had a nice deliciously sweet taste providing a fine aroma of chamomile and honey. I of course slipped some of Barbara's 2014 Reserve Bacchus. The 2013 was a gold medal wine and this one is just as good.

For lunch Barbara had the Roasted Chicken Panini- with provolone cheese, sauerkraut, roasted tomato and garlic aioli - served with mixed greens. Dessert was next.

I had the Chocolate Profiterole and Barbara had the Crème Brulée

The food and service was excellent. We had a very enjoyable time it was now time to visit the tasting room.

How many tasting rooms do you walk into and find seven people behind the bar. That is how popular Chaberton Estate winery is. Chaberton is one of the largest estate wineries in British Columbia  and the oldest in the Fraser Valley dating back to 1975. the winery produces in excess of 50,000 cases of wine a year made not only from grapes grown in their vineyard but also from grapes grown in the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys. The winemaker is Andrea Lee from Summerland.
