              Nova Scotia Working Hard

You have to admire the  winery owners  and winemakers in Nova Scotia. They are working hard to produce quality wines as well as promote them. Check out the The Winery Association of Nova Scotia website. The Winery Association of Nova Scotia was formed in 2002 to represent the interests of wine producers in Nova Scotia, to serve as a voice for local industry and to promote the growth and development of Nova Scotia wines. There first order of business was to set the standards for Nova Scotia wines. It may not have been a necessary step for the dedication to quality already was in place, just taste their wines.

Earlier this month the government of Nova Scotia increased its own promotion of NS wines.
The government announced that it is selling Jost Vineyard, Lunenburg County Winery, Grand Pre and Blomidon wines in its gift shops in tourist bureaus here near the Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border and in Yarmouth and Port Hastings.

"As far as I know we are the first province in Canada to do this," Charles Clerk, president of Island Beach Co., said in an interview. "And it's proving to be very successful."  Tourist wanted something besides a t-shirt or magnate with Nova Scotia printed on it.

The world has recognized the Niagara Peninsula  and the Okanagan has great wine producing regions but look out world here comes Nova Scotia
