Chaberton Estate Winery

The Fraser Valley location was selected for its proximity to Vancouver, the micro climate, south facing slope and quality of soil and low rain fall. Over the years it has grown to be the most popular winery in the lower mainland. Since the beginning they have produce a very good Bacchus wine. Their 2014 Bacchus Reserve proved to be one of their best. I open 4 bottles this year. 95

Sea Star Vineyards

This amazing property is one of the most beautiful vineyards in British Columbia with 26 acres terracing up to Mount Menzies and cascading down to the ocean. It owned by David Goudge . What is even more amazing the quality of the wines coming from Sea Star under winemaker Ian Baker. The 2015 Ortega is Magnificent. A nice floral aroma and crisp, clean finish. hints of melon. 95

Sea Star's 26 acre property is one of the most beautiful winery properties in British Columbia. The Salish Sea is a wonderful blend of Ortega and Siegerrebe, aromas of melon, grapefruit, peach, guava and herbs, all contributing to a clean and fresh flavour with a long finish. Sea Star cellar is quite impressive. 94

Serendipity Winery

Naramata, British Columbia

Serendipity Winery, located in the heart of the Naramata Bench in the Okanagan Valley,is owned by Judy Kingston with strong support from her daughter Katie O’Kell. Karie is part of the winemaking team that features Bradley Cooper.

Their Pinot Grigio 2013 was delicious, fresh, spritzy flavours. Aromas of pear and citrus with a good finish. 94

They also make a wonderful Viognier



Tinhorn Creek

Tinhorn Creek has been at the forefront of the BC wine industry since 1993. They farming the land responsibly, contribute to the community and make excellent wines.

Their Pinot Gris 2014 is one of many 5 star wines produced on the Golden Mile. The nose is very expressive giving off aromas of pineapple, white peach and pear. Nice tropical flavours with a lovely honey finish. 94

Backyard Vineyards

The Fraser Valley wineries that keeps growing in popularity. Tropic notes abound with Backyard's 2015 Gewürztraminer. We enjoyed a number of bottles over the summer.

Know for its interesting story line and labels Blasted Church should be know for its wines. Their 2015 Pinot Gris was sensational. Alovely bouquet of ripe stone fruits with a hint of honey. smooth a touch of sweetness

Township 7

Township 7 has two location one in Langley Township and one in Naramata

Two wines made our top picks this year 2015 Sauvignon Blanc and the Gewürztraminer 2014. They have a rather good cellar of wines. We suggest you drop by either location there have been renovations at both locations. The wines are made in the Okanagan.

Tawse is a family-owned estate winery situated on the lower slopes of the Niagara Escarpment (Vineland Double Bench).  Tawse Winery opened its doors in the spring of 2005. Blessed with a hillside terrain, our winery features a unique six-level, gravity-fed processing system. The winery is named after the owner Moray Tawse.

Their 2014 Sketches Riesling was the only one from their famous collection I was lucky enough to enjoy. A very aromatic wine with notes of honeysuckle, melon, guava and pineapple on the nose. These aromas are followed by ginger, minerality and meyer lemon on the palate.summer patio sweet wine

Chaberton Estate Winery

Over the year we have enjoyed a number of diners and lunches at the winery. The 2015 Gamay Noir is one we always like to come home with. nice aroma, strong berry flavours a very good wine. For the after dinner win a very wine is the 2014 Siegerrebe Dessert . It is sold out at the winery.



Twisted Hills Craft Cider

Kaylan Maderia is the owner and cider master at this new Similkameen Cidery

Her husband Jo Schneider, a fifth generation Cawston grower,  learned about apple production while growing up on his parents’ orchard, Heart Achers Farm at 2080 Ritchie Drive, the location of Twisted Hills’ tasting room

Twisted Hills’ Kingston Twist won the Judges’ Choice Award for Best Cider at 2015 & 2016 Okanagan Fest-of-Ale celebration.

The Wards Hard Cider store and tasting bar are a part of the View Winery – which, operates out of a vintage packing house that was built in 1922. Their Picker's Hut Premium Cider is delicious. The deep apple flavour with hints of Ginger and melon.
