Vignoble CARONE

Carone is a limited-production, premium estate winery located along the St. Lawrence River in the Lanaudière valley, Quebec's fastest developing wine growing region.  The Carone brand of wines are quickly becoming recognized as one of the quality and image leaders of premium, limited production, red wines and is the only Quebec winery to have won international and national medals for red wines.

To become Quebec’s top-ten wine company by growing premium wine grapes in the Lanaudière Valley and producing the finest New World wines.

The winery firmly believes that quality wines are born in the vineyard.
Our wines inheritably are created from combining Italian heritage to the Quebec terroir; an approach that delivers incredibly distinctive wines that defines the very best of the Lanaudière Valley.

We use Italian heritage winemaking techniques adapted to the Canadian climate to create a very distinctive wine style, unequalled elsewhere.

Carone’s greatest asset is in its field-blended vineyard, where grapevines are trained low to the ground, spaced closely with one another and intermingled with other varieties at less than 2 feet intervals. Premium quality wine grapes are characteristically chosen for their obvious quality features as well as their climatic endurance.

The wines are skillfully crafted from field-blending, an age-old tradition, at harvest time, which supports the notion that winemaking begins in the vineyard and not in the cellar. These wines have higher levels of complexity and nuance and are a unique expression of the grapes.

Production

They have 16 acres of estate vineyards and an additional 15 acres of leased vineyards in the Lanaudière region. Between the 30+ acres we mainly plant: Pinot St. Laurent Pinot Precose Rondo Regent Frontenac Cabernet Severnyi Saparavi Ortega L' A cadie  B lanc Sangiovese Marquette

Few wineries in Quebec have had the success  on the international scene as Carone. They have a very impress list of international awards.

 

Their most successful  and most memorable wine to date is BIN 33. BIN 33 is a modern styled red wine that is unrestrained, bold and unconventional. It was created by approaching winemaking from a different angle....sty le. Le BIN 33 est un vin rouge de style moderne qui est audacieux et non conventionnel. Il a été créé en approchant la vinification sous un angle différent… le style. Cette façon de faire est contraire à celles des écoles de pensée traditionnelles et actuelles, lesquelles défendent que la vinification doit absolument suivre une recette bien précise. Nous voulons sortir des sentiers battus et offrir un vin d'une nouvelle génération. Nous avons créé le BIN 33 pour qu'il reflète votre énergie, votre style de vie, vos choix et vos goûts en matière de vin rouge.

 

Iceberg is a semi-dry dessert wine with a hint of sweetness and a crisp finish. Aromas of peach and honey lead into an easy drinking wine with subtle fruit flavour and a delicate sweetness that pairs wonderfully with light foods or can be enjoyed all by itself. Anothony Carone: . ICEBERG is somewhere between a chardonnay ice wine and an iced cider. It is not as sweet as other dessert wines and can be enjoyed on its own or with flavoursome foods.
